I sent out my first campaign about 3 weeks ago and accidentally sent the ‘prospect’ card to my prospects AND my clients. Well, that was a good mistake. My clients started calling me as if they ‘had to’. The first client asked me what ‘new’ products I had and proceeded to purchase a $50k alternative product ($2,500 comm.) The second client, an 84 year old called because the GOAT on the card made her laugh. She rolled her $99k annuity over! 7K commission. It gets even better. One of my corporate clients got the card and proceeded to ask me about a ‘short term’ product I had mentioned to him over a year ago! The ink is not dry yet, but he has verbally promised to move $1M! (comm. $23k). I wish I had started with HOARD long ago!

One of the most difficult and time-consuming jobs that an agent has is maintaining regular contact with their client base. When I first learned of your system, with its handwritten notes, I had a feeling that this could be the answer to my prayers. In the past month, I’ve spent almost $2000 on other direct mail and newspaper advertising and it generated only one possible prospect. I also sent out a copy of your article to 62 clients, some of whom I haven’t really touched base with for over a year. The article just started to arrive and I received two calls on the first day it hit. The first call was from a client (whom I haven’t touched base with for quite a while) who needed me to help a friend of theirs. They wanted to set up an appointment right away to meet their friend at their house (I wish all my referrals did that). While the commission on that sale is relatively small, It will pay for the mailing several times over. The second call was from a client who wants me to rollover some large annuities for him…something I have been trying to accomplish for quite a while. WOW!!! In my many years of sales, I have never seen anything that generates such quick and measurable results (not to mention a very low price). Thanks HOARD.

P.P.S. – Two weeks have gone by. Just wanted you to know that a campaign with HOARD that cost me less than $80 has already generated commissions in excess of $5000 (with maybe a little more to come).

After a year of delaying using Hoard, I finally sent out 300 Lighthouse Day postcards to 300 of my existing clients. I was amazed at the response I received. I received about 35 calls and so far have had about 6 appointments which generated more business from existing clients. Touching base with clients is the way to go and all with a touch of a button using Hoard. It also saved valuable time for my office assistant which allowed her to work on additional lucrative prospects. I have been in the insurance business for 26 years and have tried all sorts of ways to keep in contact with my clients and prospects. In December 2006 I made a resolution to use the Hoard system with news articles, postcards, birthday cards, and anything else I could put to use. I started using them in January, always sending 2 or 3 pieces a month. In May I had a lady (prospect on my Hoard list) call saying she would like to see me. The reason she was contacting me now was that she had been receiving the 2 or 3 pieces a month and was very appreciative of the contact I had been keeping with her and her husband. Her and her husband had actually attended the 1st workshop I had done and I remembered them because he can only get around in an electric wheelchair. When I spoke to them after the workshop they said they were doing fine and did not need any help. She has attended several other workshops over the past 2 years, each time saying everything was going well for them. When I meet with them they told me the wife has an ESOP plan which has grown substantially over the past several years. In fact, it is currently valued at 1.8 million. She said she was going to move $250,000 and asked how a certain concept would work for her. On the 2nd appointment I shared that concept with her and on the 3rd appointment we did the paperwork. I spoke to the plan administrator on Monday the 23rd and he said the $225,000 will be disbursed in the next 2 weeks ($25,000 is going to their favorite charity). SHE CONTACTED ME BECAUSE I HAD MADE THOSE 2-3 CONTACTS FOR THE FIRST 4 MONTHS OF 2007. As we hear so often, it’s not the return nor the investment, but that personal contact that will allow our business to grow. Thank you Hoard!

Just closed a case yesterday, Thursday June 14 with volume of $230,000. By far not the largest case, but one of the most efficient ones. Why? I closed it on the first call and that is particularly important with the travel time of 3 hours to get there and 3 hours back home. Oh, there is the issue of fuel cost to consider! This generated about $18,400 in commissions. In the last two weeks, over $30,000 in commissions have been generated. Hoard set the stage for this to happen by keeping me in close contact with these people. I had one lady tell me she puts the holiday themed cards on her refrigerator as a “decoration”! I just rolled $367,000 for her last year, she remembered me as a trusted advisor who KEPT IN TOUCH WITH HER CONSISTENTLY AND I ROLLED ANOTHER $180,000! The volume is not the issue, it is that people trust me more because I keep in touch with them. Sorry for the length of this, but I AM EXCITED ABOUT MY BUSINESS AT AGE 61!!! I JUST STARTED DOING THIS IN OCTOBER OF 1967!

I had this client, Mrs. H. and she was a referral, but the only business that I was able to do was a smaller annuity which saved her a bunch of taxes. She was very apprehensive to do really anything else since she had been burned in the past by a market timer broker who bought and sold his way into losing her tens of thousands of dollars.
Anyway, I had been sending her a monthly newsletter over the last year and a half and touching base with a phone call about every 4 or 5 months, but no business. That is until I called her the mid part of May 07’ and she thanked me for the HOARD Cinco De Mayo card and asked me how did I know that she was taking Spanish lessons…obviously I didn’t, but she liked it and I did not mention otherwise. She then asked me about different investments that I had been talking to her about over the last year and then she told me that she had sold some real estate about 5 months ago and wanted to meet with me to figure out a plan for her $750,000 plus proceeds.
Currently we are in the process of working on a managed money account which at 1% yields a nice $7,500 a year every year while we manage her money. There are also talks of writing a $14,000 premium or so life insurance policy to replace the property in her estate…not bad.

About 30 days after I got started I saw some great results. I had mailed 21 selected individuals a letter that said, “I have an idea that could benefit you and your family, just call me”. Next pageI initially started using the Hoard Clients system for the first time with Christmas cards to clients and select prospects. As I became more familiar with the various applications of the system I decided to explore using their inexpensive post cards for different aspects of my investment advisory/money management practice. One application of post card usage was to pop a card in the mail to those people who were not able to attend my monthly seminars in addition to those who attended and point them to our website, which would give them a good idea as to who we are and what we do. Another application I began implementing in April was to send a post card telling my “preferred prospects” about my 2006 investment performance and suggesting they call my office for a Free Report, which explains how I managed money. This small campaign turned into a profitable undertaking. One of the responders who requested the Free Report entrusted $280,000 for me to manage in May. There are 4 other responders who will likely become clients in June. I also began “testing” a “Don’t Keep Me A Secret” referral card with a small group of clients and BINGO in May I received a call from a client telling me to call a friend and this friend drove nearly 2 hours to my office to entrust $125,000 in May for me to manage. Wait a minute, it gets better, another client called with a referral because of the same card and introduced me to a friend who is planning to entrust $150,000 with me in June. Wait, there is still more to tell you, one of my long time preferred prospect stopped into my office on May 29th to let me know he has decided to entrust his $250,000 IRA with me and this guy has been on my preferred prospect list for 18 months so the question that begs to be asked is, did he decide to entrust his money because of the continual post card dripping which began with the Christmas card, then the Easter card, then the Memorial Day card, plus a sprinkling of a few other Hoard cards or was he just in the area and said, what the heck I’ll give Hobert my money to manage? I think I know the answer and so do you. As a side note, we sent out the Memorial Day post card to a large group of clients and some preferred prospects and already I’ve received 10 e-mails thanking me for such a great card. I can’t wait to send out the Fourth of July card. I envision using the Hoard Clients system for every possible aspect of my money management practice conceivable and certainly as a way to keep my name and how I manage money in front of those preferred prospects plus I’ll continue to drip on various clients, telling them in a subtle way, not to keep me a secret with their friends. It’s any ones guess as to how much revenue this system will eventually generate for me during my first 12 months but I can tell you, I’ve called Patrick Hass of Hoard Clients and have requested he send back the magic pen at least twice in the past 2 months to re-write and revamp various ways I think up to use the Hoard System. It powerful and it works!
